At times, we feel a little melancholy for no reason at all. Some say the moon and the planets have something to do with our emotions. Some say it is hormones and others say it's the weather.
Our mental state plays a big role in our emotional state. When we worry about things, unbeknownst to us, our health can be affected as well.
The essence of transforming our minds and hearts is to acknowledge that our emotions and thoughts often are in conflict. This conflict can bring about negative and destructive actions within us. Or we can move past the trauma simply by letting those negative thoughts and emotions go. By being positive, we free ourselves to feel and act in ways which empower us to transform anything we want to a rewarding outcome.
It's about realizing that you are in control of your life and no matter what you may have experienced in the past, you understand that by being in control you can take action to realize your possibilities.
There will always be moments of doubt within us. We worry about many things that may be happening in our lives. We constantly think about things that may happen in the future. We cannot totally free ourselves of negative thoughts -- it is a part of human existence and it is inevitable.
But we can do something about it by altering our mental state. We can refuse to allow negative thoughts to linger in our minds -- if we want to. By keeping yourself busy, you can divert your negative thoughts to something productive. Cooking is a form of therapy for me.
I will be honest with you -- I don't cook every single meal we eat in the household. But when I feel like I want to decompress and take my mind away from things, I can spend the whole day conquering my kitchen. It is very therapeutic and it gives me a sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Whatever it is you do to decompress -- be it reading a book, watching a movie, playing games, whatever -- the bottom line is that it's a great means to help clear your mind, at least for a while, from negative thoughts.
Proceed to create and enact a plan that will empower you to bring the results you want. Positive thinking can alter our present state of mind, appearance, being or character. Positive thinking can lead us the to positive outcomes we choose for ourselves. The choice is yours.
